A Special Notice Regarding Disney Corporation

It has come to our attention that Disney Corporation has (through public statements and videos) come out against parental rights. The Company has not only been critical of Florida’s “Parent Rights in Education” bill, but has made it company policy to actively fight the new law.

Here is an official statement made by the Disney Corporation:

"Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that. We are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country."

In a subsequent, leaked video a Disney executive went further, saying that she will make sure all future Disney movies are full of “queer” activity, openly admitting an agenda of sexualization and indoctrination rather than entertainment. We are deeply disappointed to see that this once great company can no longer be trusted with our children. Therefore, it is the California Parents Alliance’s position to firmly place Disney into the “Harmful to Children” category and recommend parents block, delete, and protect children from Disney products and services immediately.

The Florida Parent Rights in Education Bill prohibits classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through third grade. Disney has not stated why they believe teachers must discuss sex with 5-, 6-, 7-, or 8-year-old children. Over the last few years, parents have been learning more and more about how our educational systems throughout the United States and in particular the State of California, have deviated from actual education and have become focused on indoctrination. In other words, teaching children HOW to read, write, count, and think has taken a back seat to teaching gender ideology, It is absurd to think that it is necessary to sexualize children in grades K thru 6. If a child has questions about sex, sexuality, or gender, then those conversations should be reserved for the parent. Parents used to be able to trust that teachers, administrators, and school districts were working for our children’s best interests. We now know that in many cases, schools are working against the moral standards set by parents, harming the overall mental health of our children, and using them as pawns to achieve a political goal. It is time to get sex out of our classrooms. The Florida Parent Rights in Education bill should be supported rather than opposed. Disney’s overt agenda to sexualize children must be stopped and that is why we can no longer support Disney in any way.

Personally, and as President of the California Parent Alliance, this decision and recommendation does not come easy. As a former Police Officer for the City of Anaheim (the home of Disneyland) and as a former contractor with Disneyland, I have a long history with this company. How many times have I turned on a movie made by Disney so my child could watch while I cleaned the house or caught up on work? But now, Disney can no longer be trusted with our children. My job as a parent is an important one! My job as a parent is to protect my six children from those who want to harm my children. And as President of the California Parent Alliance, it is my duty to warn other parents and to give them action steps to protect their children. In our house I have deleted Disney Plus and discarded anything related to the company.

Sincerely, Andy Falco Jimenez

President, California Parent Alliance
